lipolife® liposomal vitamin C is a highly absorbable form of vitamin C, made possible by tiny, protective bubbles called liposomes. These liposomes closely resemble the structure of your body’s own cell membranes, allowing the vitamin to pass through the digestive system more efficiently.

The lipolife® advanced delivery method helps the vitamin reach your cells faster and more effectively, maximising its benefits.

Authenticity

Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) provides visual confirmation that a marketed liposomal product is not just a generic emulsion but a true liposomal delivery system.

Product Details

Liposomal vitamin C is an advanced form of ascorbic acid encapsulated in liposomes - tiny, fat-based structures made from phospholipids that mimic your body’s own cell membranes. This cutting-edge delivery system protects the vitamin as it passes through the digestive tract and allows it to be absorbed more efficiently into the bloodstream and delivered directly to cells and tissues where it’s needed most.

lipolife® use expertly engineered liposomes to maximise bioavailability, meaning more of the vitamin C actually reaches your system compared to traditional supplements. This makes liposomal vitamin C an ideal choice for those who require higher doses to support immune health, collagen production, energy, or antioxidant protection. It’s especially beneficial for people with gut sensitivities or absorption issues, where standard vitamin C may fall short due to breakdown in the digestive process.

Traditional vitamin C is water-soluble and subject to limited absorption - what the body doesn’t use is often flushed out. Liposomal encapsulation helps bypass these limitations, offering a smarter, more targeted approach.

With lipolife® liposomal vitamin C, you’re not just supplementing, you’re investing in a delivery system designed for real, measurable impact.

Safety Warnings

Do not exceed recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a healthy lifestyle or balanced diet. Always consult with your healthcare professional before starting any supplement. If you are on existing medication, please seek further advice from your GP or medical team.

lipolife® liposomal liquid vitamin c

A randomised, single-blind, crossover study was conducted to assess the bioavailability of 1g lipolife® liposomal Vitamin C compared to 1g non-liposomal oral Vitamin C in 24 healthy adults.

The results demonstrated that lipolife® liposomal Vitamin C achieved significantly higher plasma concentrations than the non-liposomal form. At 2 hours post-dose, liposomal Vitamin C reached 205.1 μM/L, compared to 102.6 μM/L for the control.

Peak plasma concentration (Cmax) occurred at 4 hours, with liposomal Vitamin C reaching 282.3 μM/L—2.4 times higher than the 119 μM/L observed with the non-liposomal form.

Ultra Pure Water

In liposomal supplement manufacturing, ultra-pure water is essential to ensure product stability, safety, and effectiveness. One of the key steps in achieving this high level of water purity is the use of deionised water (DI water).

Deionised water is created by removing the mineral ions (such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, sulfate and carbonate) that are commonly found in tap or distilled water. This is typically done using ion exchange resins, which attract and trap positively and negatively charged particles (ions). The process involves passing water through a mixed-bed resin or through sequential cation and anion exchange columns, which exchange undesirable ions for hydrogen (H⁺) and hydroxide (OH⁻) ions. These combine to form pure water (H₂O) as the by-product.

While deionisation removes charged particles, it does not eliminate organic contaminants, bacteria, or particulates.

For this reason, SAIFx® Technology used in lipolife® formulations takes it a step further to achieve ultra-pure water by integrating additional purification steps. The resulting ultra-pure water is chemically neutral and microbiologically clean, which is crucial for liposomal formulations. Any impurities, especially ions or microbes, could compromise the integrity of the phospholipid bilayers that form liposomes, affect shelf stability, or introduce contamination into the final product.

Phospholipids

Phospholipids, the core of all lipolife® products, are naturally occurring molecules that form the structural basis of cell membranes. They are essential in nutrient delivery due to their biocompatibility and ability to form liposomes, which can encapsulate active ingredients for targeted delivery.

lipolife® use phospholipids from Lipoid.

Lipoid GmbH is a leading global company specialising in the production of high-purity phospholipids for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and nutritional applications. Lipoid has established itself as a pioneer in developing liposomal and lipid-based drug delivery systems. These systems are critical for enhancing the efficacy and stability of active pharmaceutical ingredients, particularly in formulations such as liposomes, emulsions and lipid nanoparticles.

Quali-C® Vitamin C

When it comes to quality, purity and sustainability, Quali-C® sets the global standard. Manufactured in Scotland, Quali-C® is the only vitamin C produced in Europe, offering complete traceability from start to finish. Unlike many sources of ascorbic acid that originate from regions with less stringent quality control, Quali-C® is made under pharmaceutical-grade conditions, ensuring exceptional purity and consistency in every batch.

When you choose a supplement made with Quali-C®, you're not only supporting your immune system, energy levels and collagen formation with a trusted form of vitamin C, you're also making a more environmentally conscious choice. With reduced carbon footprint and full transparency, Quali-C® delivers peace of mind along with proven health benefits. It's vitamin C you can truly count on, from a source you can trust.

why take lipolife® liposomal vitamin c?

lipolife® liposomal vitamin c has higher bioavailability than a regular vitamin c, which means that it is more efficiently absorbed and as such is more readily available for use in the body because of the lipid bilayer surrounding it. This lipid layer also helps to keep vitamin c from being completely broken down in the digestive system. The most prominent benefit of lipolife® liposomal vitamin c is the ability to target certain cells in the body for delivery of this essential nutrient.

How should I take lipolife® liposomal vitamin C

You can take our products on an empty stomach or following food if you prefer. You can take lipolife® products neat, mixed with water or juice, mixed in a smoothie or pre / post workout blend. You can pour it on your yoghurt and granola or even over a fruit salad. Just don't mix lipolife® products with anything hot as this will destroy the liposomes.

Is liposomal vitamin c better?

While both standard vitamin C and liposomal vitamin C provide the same essential nutrient, liposomal vitamin C is generally considered the superior option in terms of absorption and effectiveness.
Traditional vitamin C supplements can be limited by the body’s ability to absorb high doses through the digestive tract, with much of the nutrient potentially being excreted before it can be fully utilised.
In contrast, liposomal vitamin C uses a phospholipid encapsulation system that protects the vitamin as it passes through the digestive system, allowing for greater absorption and more efficient delivery to the cells where it is needed.

This makes liposomal vitamin C a more effective choice for those seeking higher bioavailability and stronger health benefits from their supplementation.
