Liposomal Vitamin K2

In liposomal supplement manufacturing, ultra-pure water is essential to ensure product stability, safety, and effectiveness. One of the key steps in achieving this high level of water purity is the use of deionised water (DI water).

Deionised water is created by removing the mineral ions, such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, sulphate, and carbonate, that are commonly found in tap or distilled water.

While deionisation removes charged particles, it does not eliminate organic contaminants, bacteria, or particulates. For this reason, GMPriority Pharma, the manufacturers of lipolife®, take it a step further to achieve ultra-pure water by integrating additional purification steps.

The resulting ultra-pure water is chemically neutral and microbiologically clean, which is crucial for liposomal formulations. Any impurities, especially ions or microbes, could compromise the integrity of the phospholipid bilayers that form liposomes, affect shelf stability, or introduce contamination into the final product.

Phospholipids are the primary building blocks of liposomes, forming the bilayer membrane that encapsulates and protects the active ingredients. If the phospholipids are poor quality or degraded, the liposome may break apart, leading to leakage or degradation of the supplement’s active compounds.

lipolife® use non-allergenic, non-GMO, sunflower phospholipids from world-leading producer, Lipoid®.

Lipoid® is an industry pioneer and has been setting the standard in lipid production for over 45 years.

By using Lipoid® as the foundation of our liposomal formulations, lipolife® ensure our liposomes survive through the digestive system and effectively fuse with cell membranes, maximising nutrient uptake.

vitaMK7® is a premium, naturally fermented vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7 or MK-7) ingredient developed by Gnosis by Lesaffre.

Produced through a patented biofermentation process using Bacillus subtilis natto, it ensures a high-purity, all-trans MK-7 form, which is the most bioactive and stable configuration of vitamin K
