Can you really treat hay fever naturally?
Erin’s Hay Fever Diary
Symptom scale 0 – 5 (5 being the worst)
Sneezing
Runny nose
Itchy eyes
6th April 2023 – one dose (5ml)
My hay fever is beginning to pick up, so I’ll be taking LVC6 daily. I have not taken any other medication or made any dietary changes so far this year. Usually I would build up my tablet/nasal spray intake before my symptoms start.
The taste is ‘unflavoured’ and will take some getting used to. I plan to take my daily dose in the morning before I have breakfast.
8th April 2023 – four doses (20ml)
Symptom ratings:
My hay fever was particularly bad this weekend – it could have also been affected by being around dogs for the weekend. I took 20 ml of LVC6 across the day and unfortunately, I didn’t notice much difference. I’ve only been taking LVC6 for a few days, so interested to see how it affects me in the longer-term.
11th April 2023 – four doses (20ml)
Symptom ratings:
Today was my first day back at work after a long weekend, and I had tears running down my face and a lot of sneezing. LVC6 doesn’t seem to be helping today, so resulted in me taking a hay fever tablet which cut the symptoms very quickly. This did however make me very drowsy in the evening – I went to bed at about 7pm!
17th April 2023 – two doses (10ml)
Symptom ratings:
The pollen count was very high this week, however, I found myself taking far less LVC6 (5-10ml per day), not using any other hay fever medication and not struggling. I’m still sneezing and have that horrible tingling sensation in my nose but far more manageable than I have been in the past.
2nd May 2023 – one dose (5ml)
Symptom ratings:
I haven’t had to take any tablets and have dropped down to 5ml of LVC6 per day for the last week as I haven’t been struggling as much. It will be interesting to see how I’m affected as we move into the warmer months.
11th May 2023 – two doses (10ml)
Symptom ratings:
The weather’s a lot warmer today (16 degrees) and I’m starting to struggle with a runny nose and sneezing. So far, I’ve taken 10ml in the morning. According to the Met office, the pollen count is ‘low’ today, so unusual that I’ve been hit! I felt a lot better in the afternoon, until I went for a twenty minute walk and came back feeling stuffy – so I took another 10ml…
It turns out I had caught a cold/virus.
to be continued…..
